City & Chambray

Last weekend I got to show my mom around this city that I now call home (and am falling for more & more every day). We had so much fun, but I think the best part of the weekend was Sunday night; the Golden Gate Bridge's 75th anniversary firework show. I got the pleasure of relaxing on a hill at my favorite park with two of the people who I love the most (Mommy and Mick) and experiencing the most amazing firework show I have ever seen.

One of the things my mom was most excited to see during her visit was actually this bathroom. I'm hoping she'll laugh when she sees that I snuck in and snapped this picture on one of our morning coffee runs.

I have been living in this outfit on the weekends. It's simple, comfortable and allows for flexibility to try and keep up with San Francisco's confusing weather.

Jacket: F21; Chambray: Zara; Jeans: Express; Shoes: Anne Klein; Necklace & Sunglasses: H&M

Happy 75th, Golden Gate!

Lemon Drop

Jacket: Zara; Top: French Connection (old sample); Elephant: Forever21; Sunglasses: H&M; Cast: Dr. Kemp

Mick and I went out after work last night for our "last dinner" before mom comes to visit. We're on a mission to try out every sushi place in the 1 mile radius and decide on our favorite. In a regular city, this would not be any size of feat. In San Francisco, we have our work cut out. Tonight we tried out Sushi Hunter for happy hour. The rolls were very good and very cheap while the "Top 40 Club Mix" they had playing kept us... awake. Interesting choice, Sushi Hunter. Interesting choice.
I'm getting so excited to see my mommy and show her around my new city! We have 5 days packed full of activity, I hope you're ready, mom :)

Cat Lady

Blouse: Zara; Jeans: Target; Elephant Necklace: Forever21

As soon as the thought of this outfit started to form in my mind, it was all over. OF COURSE! Why would I NOT pair my leopard print jeans with my leopard head blouse!?!? Aside from feeling like one big kitty (which is way more paw-some than feeling like a regular human, hehe), I’m pretty proud of myself that it actually turned out cute. Oh, and I threw in an elephant for good measure, because, who wants to go to a zoo with only one animal?

Ps. The best thing about having an arm cast (besides Mick doing all of the cooking and dishes) is having an air-tight excuse to have messy bed head every day :)
